Rajpath and Rashtrapati Bhavan
The King's Way, sometimes referred to as Rajpath, is New Delhi's customary ceremonial promenade. It travels by significant metropolitan icons like Vijay Chowk and India Gate on its journey from Rashtrapati Bhavan, the formal presidential home, to the National Stadium. This wide avenue is bordered by ponds, grass, and trees, and on January 26th, when the Republic Day Parade takes place, it comes to life. Countless numbers of people gather to commemorate this unique occasion and honor the anniversary of the nation's independence. Unquestionably one of Delhi's most majestic structures is the President's Home, the Rashtrapati Bhavan (formerly the British Viceroy's residence), which is located at the western end of Rajpath. Given the 340 luxuriously appointed rooms and its diverse blend of Mughal and European architectural styles, it makes a good location for a selfie. The new Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum, which provides an inside look at the structure and excellent exhibits about previous presidents, is particularly fascinating. Hot Tip: If you go in February or March, make sure to check out the neighboring Mughal Gardens, which are a beautiful planting show that surrounds the President's Residence.
