The term "Sunset Park" makes it clear what to anticipate. Sunset Park is actually one of the best sites in Petoskey to enjoy the sunset thanks to its ideal vantage point on a cliff with views of Little Traverse Bay on Lake Michigan and Bayfront Park below. It makes for a great observation area throughout the day, complete with a charming gazebo and a platform that provides a view of the lake below. There is also a staircase leading from the hillside to Bayfront Park.  A portion of the Little Traverse Wheelway borders the park, which is close to U.S. 31.
