California Lighthouse & California Dunes | Tourist Attractions in Aruba
Numerous postcards and travel guides from Aruba include the California Lighthouse, which is located at the northernmost point of the island. It was given the S.S. California's moniker since it sank off this region's shore. With sand dunes known as the California Dunes, cacti, and even some grazing goats, the area is rocky and picturesque. Despite being off limits to the general public, the lighthouse is a fantastic place to contrast the tranquil waters of the western beach with the choppy waves of the eastern shore. Visit the lighthouse around sunset to take in the expansive views of the island. For dinner at the adjoining restaurant, many visitors linger.
