Once upon a time, a flourishing country was controlled by a king. He took a vacation to some remote parts of his country one day. When he returned to his palace, he complained that his feet were in excruciating pain because it was the first time he had taken such a long journey and the road he had travelled was extremely rough and stony. He then instructed his men to cover every road in the country with leather. Thousands of cows' skins would undoubtedly be required, and the cost would be enormous.
"Why do you even have to waste that needless sum of money?" one of his clever servants dared to ask the monarch. "How about cutting a small piece of leather to cover your feet?"
The king was taken aback at first, but he eventually consented to his notion of making a "boot" for himself.
When he wore that shoe, he got very happy as now it didn't hurt him anymore. He got so happy with the servant that he offered him a wish. He told him that he could ask him for anything he wanted, and the servant, in return, asked for shoes for everyone. This made the people very happy, as now no one ever complains about the hurting feet in the country.
