Between the stations of Dankaur and Wair, the C8 coach's traction motor experienced a bearing issue. According to a statement, the Varanasi Vande Bharat rake (Train No. 22436) failed between Dankaur and Wair stations due to a bearing fault in the C8 coach's traction motor. According to reports, the train from Delhi to Varanasi was stopped after the ground crew discovered the problem and contacted the railway operations centre. Following the technical staff's examination, the express was then driven at a controlled speed for an additional 20 kilometres to the Khurja railway station.
