Prior to the first anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, US President Joe Biden made a surprise trip to Kyiv on Monday. He pledged greater arms deliveries for the country as well as unwavering assistance. On his first trip to Ukraine since Russian troops invaded on February 24, 2022, US President Biden met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as air raid sirens wailed throughout the nation's capital. Just outside, a roadway was lined with uniformed Ukrainian military personnel. As a military salute sounded and the two presidents regarded each other in silence for a short while, Zelensky and Biden strolled over and laid a wreath at the Wall of Remembrance for the Russian-Ukrainian War's fallen heroes. More shells are reportedly being consumed by Ukraine each month than the EU defence sector is currently able to generate. Biden's visit was praised by Zelensky as a significant show of support.
