As thousands of vehicles flock to Medaram village for the ancient Sammakka Saralamma jatara, regarded as one of the largest tribal events, the Telangana police have put in place systems to ensure that worshippers have a pleasant experience. Officers have already held a series of meetings with district police officers to discuss traffic rerouting, parking, crime prevention, and security for VVIP visits. For jatara responsibilities, the department had previously deployed 9,000 police officers from various areas. The police anticipate 12.5 million people, 3.5 lakh private automobiles, and 4,000 RTC buses.
