The Delhi government announced on Sunday that the ban on BS-III petrol and BS-IV diesel four-wheelers will be lifted as of Monday. According to the order, all types of cars would be able to travel on Delhi's roads without any limitations as of Monday, a transport department official told Hindustan Times. Thousands of car owners in the capital who were unable to use their vehicles due to the ban enforced between November 5 and 13 as part of the Delhi government's efforts to control the air quality are greatly relieved by the decision. The embargo will end on Sunday night, according to a transport official in Delhi, because no order prolonging the ban has been issued. He did, however, add that the authorities are keeping an eye on the situation and will revisit it if the air quality index spikes once more.
