As Covid cases continue to rise globally, the government said on Saturday that RT-PCR tests will be required for foreign travellers arriving from China, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Thailand. The event comes a day after Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Health Minister, met with state ministers to discuss the current Covid crisis and make sure that the nation is prepared to stop the virus's spread. "RT-PCR test to be mandatory for international arrivals from China, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Thailand. On arrival, if any passenger from these countries is found symptomatic or tests positive for Covid19, then he/she will be put under quarantine," ANI cited Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Health Minister, as saying. Passengers travelling internationally who are arriving from these nations will also be required to fill out the Air Suvidha form to certify their current health status.
