Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress party, was recently expelled from the Parliament after receiving a two-year prison sentence in connection with a defamation case from 2019. According to sources, Gandhi will appeal his verdict and sentence tomorrow in the Surat sessions court. In his appeal, the former president of the Congress requested that the sessions court invalidate the magistrate's decision finding him guilty of defamation. Additionally, he requested a temporary stay of the judgment until the dispute was resolved.
