According to Gujarat government officials, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will digitally inaugurate and dedicate to the nation plenty of projects worth more than INR 1,100 crore on Friday, including a freshly built five-star hotel atop the renovated Gandhinagar railway station. SS Rathore, Managing Director of Gandhinagar Railway and Urban Development Corporation Ltd (GARUD), stated at a press conference in Gandhinagar that the premium hotel, which has 318 rooms, is spread over 7,400 square metres and cost Rs 790 crore. GARUD is a special purpose vehicle (SPV) formed by the Gujarat government and the Ministry of Railway to own a five-star hotel with a total height of 250 feet. National and international guests will stay at the hotel to attend seminars and conferences at Mahatma Mandir, a convention centre located directly across the street, according to Rathore. Green building characteristics have been added to the railway station. According to him, considerable effort was taken to make it a "divyang-friendly station" by installing a special ticket counter, ramps, elevators, and designated parking spots. The reconstruction of Gandhinagar's current railway station, as well as the construction of a five-star hotel on top of it, began in January 2017 after Modi laid the foundation stone. The new-look station, as well as the hotel, are now complete and will be opened by the prime minister through video conferencing at 4 p.m. on July 16 (Friday), he said. Later, at Ahmedabad's Science City, the prime minister would virtually open three additional attractions. An aquatic gallery, a robotic gallery, and a wildlife park are among the attractions, according to Vijay Nehra, secretary of the Science and Technology Department. The aquatic gallery in Science City, built at a cost of Rs 260 crore, is India's largest aquarium, with 68 enormous tanks displaying marine life from all over the world, including reef sharks, alligator gar, Koi, and black pacu fish, among other things. According to him, the aquarium has roughly 11,600 fish and marine animals from 188 different species. According to Nehra, the exhibit also contains a 28-meter-long underwater pedestrian tunnel where visitors can observe marine animals.

The robotic gallery, which cost Rs 127 crore and covers 11,000 square metres, is another highlight. He claims the facility includes over 200 robots of 79 various varieties, including humanoid robots with human-like bodies and machines that can interact with humans.
