According to a local official, Russian troops launched multiple air attacks on a military training area outside of Ukraine's western city of Lviv, near the Polish border, on Sunday.  Russia "launched an airstrike on the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security," Maxim Kozitsky took to Facebook. According to news agency Indian Today, nine persons were killed and 57 were injured in an attack on a military base outside of Lviv, Ukraine. According to a report in the German newspaper Welt am Sonntag, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg indicated on Sunday that Russia might use chemical weapons after its invasion of Ukraine, and that such a move would be a war crime.
