Brazil's second World Cup game will be missed by Neymar, who will, however, stay with the team to receive treatment for his ankle injury, the team doctor announced on November 25. Neymar has a ligament damage, according to tests done on his right ankle, and won't be ready to play against Switzerland on Monday, according to Rodrigo Lasmar. The team doctor said on November 25 that Neymar will miss Brazil's second World Cup game but would continue to train with the group while receiving treatment for his ankle injury. The goal is to have him recuperate in time to still play in the competition, according to Dr. Lasmar, who added that “It’s important to remain calm, an evaluation will be conducted daily so we can have more information and take the most appropriate decisions.” Neymar's recuperation timeframe was not provided by Dr. Lasmar. He said that the left ankle injury suffered by defender Danilo, who will also miss the match against Switzerland, was identical to Neymar's.
