Mother Dairy stated it is “compelled to raise its liquid milk prices by INR 2/litre in Delhi-NCR with effect from July 11, 2021.” All milk varieties will be subject to the new prices. “The company has been experiencing inflationary pressure on the overall input costs which has increased multifold in the last one year, accompanied by the distress in milk production due to the ongoing pandemic,” according to the statement. Farm prices have risen by 8-10% in the last year, in tandem with rising processing, packaging, and logistics expenses.
