Kerala has seen the beginning of the monsoon season, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday. Kerala saw considerable rainfall activity on Wednesday at several locations. The emergence of a low-pressure region over the southeast Arabian Sea and its deepening had been predicted by the weather department to bring the monsoon to Kerala within the next two days. This was earlier predicted by the weather department on June 5.
