According to German Ambassador Walter J. Lindner, India is becoming an important country for Germany in the Indo-Pacific region, and the new coalition government in Berlin is expected to maintain strong ties with New Delhi. He stated that in the recent decade, relations between India and Germany have improved significantly, including in trade and investment, and that this trend is expected to continue. His remarks came as Berlin prepares to welcome a new coalition government following parliamentary elections. According to sources, the Social Democrats (SPD) came out ahead of Angela Merkel's ruling conservative group in the federal elections.
