On Wednesday, major traffic jams were experienced by commuters traveling from Manesar to Gurugram as a result of a vehicle breakdown on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway. The traffic police tweeted a warning about the situation and posted signboards directing traffic in a different direction. Due to National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) span load test work being done on the Jaipur to Delhi lane of the highway, the main carriageway of the highway was closed on Wednesday and remained closed for the following six days. The majority of the commuters were office workers who were snarled up in the gridlock. Many reported that the journey from Hero Honda Chowk to IMT Chowk, Manesar, took them close to five hours.
