Maharashtra reports 1881 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday

Maharashtra reported 1,881 new coronavirus infections on Tuesday, up 81% from the previous day and the most since February 18, as well as one B.A.5 variant case, according to the state health department. There were 1,242 new cases in Mumbai alone on Tuesday, nearly double the number on Monday. During the day, no new Covid-19 disease deaths were reported. On Monday, the state had 1,036 cases, with 676 cases registered in Mumbai. It's worth noting that fewer cases are reported on Mondays since fewer tests are performed on weekends. The COVID-19 case count in Maharashtra increased to 78,96,114 on Tuesday, while the death toll remained steady at 1,47,866.
