Lata Mangeshkar, a legendary singer, died on Sunday at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital. She was 92 years old. This evening, she was cremated with full state honors at Mumbai's renowned Shivaji Park. Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the funeral. On January 8, Lata Mangeshkar was admitted to the intensive care unit after testing positive for COVID-19. Her condition had deteriorated again on Saturday, and she had to be placed on ventilator support. She was being watched by doctors. Lata Mangeshkar was diagnosed with pneumonia as well as COVID-19. Her symptoms were minimal, but she was in ICU due to her age, according to her relatives. Lata Mangeshkar exhibited hints of improvement during the next few weeks. However, hospital officials said on Saturday that Lata Mangeshkar had been placed back on the ventilator after her health deteriorated, according to news agency ANI. Lata Mangeshkar, a member of a well-known musical family, also created music and produced a few films. The 'Nightingale of India,' as she was nicknamed, was a well-known figure in India.
