A new coronavirus variant that has emerged has caused panic in India, but an expert has allayed it by saying that the variant BF.7 may not be as dangerous as it is in China. The subvariant Omicron may not pose a significant threat because India has established "herd immunity," according to Vinay K. Nandicoori, Director of Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB). However, the CCMB director warned that these variants have the capacity to evade protection and urged individuals to behave in a COVID-appropriate way. According to him, even those who have received vaccinations and even those who have already contracted the earlier Omicron variations can contract the highly transmissible variant. According to media sources, India reported four cases of the coronavirus strain BF.7.
