The Karnataka government announced the easing of the weekend curfew in response to public outcry as well as trade and commercial enterprises. The administration, on the other hand, has opted to keep the night curfew in place every day from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. On Scientific grounds, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai presided over a two-hour conference with health specialists, ministers, and top officials, which resulted in the decision to relax the weekend curfew. With a hospitalization rate of less than 5%, the government of Karnataka decided to lift the weekend curfew. If the hospitalization rate rises, the government would re-impose the limitation, according to Revenue Minister R. Ashok, who also urged the public to comply with the government by carefully following Covid-19 norms in public places.
