In light of the rising military tensions with Russia, the Indian Embassy in Kyiv has issued an advisory advising all Indian students to leave Ukraine. It was given just hours after US government spokespersons predicted that Russia would invade Ukraine on February 16. “In view of the uncertainties of the current situation in Ukraine, Indian nationals in Ukraine, particularly students whose stay is not essential may consider leaving temporarily,” the Embassy said in a public notice issued on Tuesday, advising Indian nationals to avoid all non-essential travel to and within the country. The Embassy also advised Indian people to keep the mission up to date on their whereabouts so that they can be reached if "needed."
