With a magnificent victory over Zimbabwe by 71 runs, India finished first in Group 2. The two semifinalists from Group 2—India and Pakistan—will compete against England and New Zealand. KL Rahul and Virat Kohli stabilised the innings after Rohit Sharma was dismissed early, enabling India to score a high total today. With three straight dismissals of KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, and Rishabh Pant, Zimbabwe's bowlers recovered. However, Suryakumar Yadav's amazing performance of 61 runs in only 25 balls to raise India's total to 186 put the sun back on top. Bhuvneshwar Kumar got off to a strong start in his first over of bowling, and Arshdeep, Shami, and Pandya all followed suit with wickets in their first overs. Sikandar Raza and Ryan Burl were trying to establish a partnership as Zimbabwe lost the first five wickets extremely quickly in the game; however, Burl was bowled by Ravichandran Ashwin to end the partnership. Following that, Zimbabwe fell quickly, and India went on to win by a score of 71 runs. India will now face England in the semifinals, while Pakistan will play against New Zealand.
