India's daily new cases (913) have also dropped below 1,000 for the first time in 715 days. On April 18, 2020, there were 991 new COVID instances each day. In a remarkable development, India's Active Caseload (12,597) has now dropped below the 13,000 threshold after 714 days, continuing a downward trend. Active cases now account for 0.03 percent of all Positive Cases in the country. On April 18th, 2020, there were 12,974 active cases. As a result, India's recovery rate is 98.76 percent. In the previous 24 hours, 1,316 patients have recovered, bringing the total number of recovered patients (from the start of the pandemic) to 4,24,95,089. Today, there are less than ten deaths reported on a daily basis.
