India reports 45,892 new Covid-19 cases

In the previous 24 hours, India has reported 45,892 new cases. Since eleven days, there have been fewer than 50,000 daily new cases recorded. Today, India's Active Caseload is 4,60,704, accounting for barely 1.50 percent of the country's total Positive Cases, according to a government release. Out of the people who have been infected since the start of the pandemic, 2,98,43,825 have recovered from COVID-19, with 44,291 patients recovering in the last 24 hours. This results in an overall recovery rate of 97.18 percent, which is on the rise. In the last 24 hours, a total of 18,93,800 tests were conducted across the country. At  present, India has completed more than 42.52 crore (42,52,25,897) tests. While testing capacity has been increased across the country, there has been a steady decline in weekly case positivity. Today, the Weekly Positivity Rate is 2.37 percent, while the Daily Positivity Rate is 2.42 percent. For the past 17 days, the Daily Positivity rate has been less than 3 percent, and it has been below 5 percent for more than a month now.
