India reports 43,733 new Covid-19 cases

In the past 24 hours, India has reported 43,733 new cases. Since 10 days, there have been less than 50,000 daily new cases recorded. In India, the number of active cases has been steadily decreasing. The current Active Caseload in the country is 4,59,920. In the last 24 hours, there has been a net decrease of 4,437 active cases, making up barely 1.50 percent of the country's total Positive Cases. India's Daily Recoveries have now outnumbered the Daily New Cases for 55 days, indicating that more people are recovering from COVID-19 infection. In the last 24 hours, 47,240 recoveries have been recorded. In comparison to the daily new cases, more than 3,000 (3,507) recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours. Out of the 2,97,99,534 people who have been infected since the start of the pandemic, 2,97,99,534 have recovered from COVID-19, with 47,240 patients recovering in the last 24 hours. This results in an overall recovery rate of 97.18 percent, which is on the rise. In the last 24 hours, a total of 19,07,216 tests were conducted around the country.  So far, India has undertaken more than 42.33 crore (42,33,32,097) tests. While testing capacity has been increased across the country, there has been a steady decline in weekly case positives. The Weekly Positivity Rate is 2.39 percent today, while the Daily Positivity Rate is 2.29 percent. For the past 16 days, the daily positivity rate has been less than 3 percent, and for the past month, it has been less than 5 percent.
