India reports 43,071 new Covid-19 cases

In the past 24 hours, India has reported 43,071 new cases. Since seven days, fewer than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been reported. In India, the number of active cases has been steadily decreasing. The current Active Caseload in the country is 4,85,350. The number of active cases has dropped by 10,183 in the last 24 hours, accounting for only 1.59 percent of the country's total Positive Cases. India's Daily Recoveries have now outnumbered the Daily New Cases for 52 days, indicating that more people are recovering from COVID-19 infection. In the last 24 hours, 52,299 recoveries have been recorded. In comparison to the daily new cases, more than 9,000 (9,228) recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours. Out of the 2,96,58,078 people who have been infected since the start of the pandemic, 2,96,58,078 have recovered from COVID-19, with 52,299 patients recovering in the last 24 hours. This results in an overall recovery rate of 97.09 percent, which is on the rise. In the last 24 hours, a total of 18,38,490 tests were conducted around the country. India has already performed around 41.82 crore (41,82,54,953) tests in total. While testing capacity has been increased across the country, there has been a steady decline in weekly case positivity. The Weekly Positivity Rate is 2.44 percent today, while the Daily Positivity Rate is 2.34 percent. For the past 27 days, the daily positivity rate has stayed less than 5 percent.
