India reports 35,178 new Covid-19 cases

In the previous 24 hours, India has reported 35,178 new cases. For the past fifty-two days, fewer than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been reported. The recovery rate in India is now at 97.52 percent, the highest since March 2020. Out of the people who have been infected since the start of the pandemic, 3,14,85,923 have recovered from COVID-19, with 37,169 patients recovering in the last 24 hours. With 3,67,415 active cases, India's active caseload is at its lowest level in 148 days. Active cases now account for only 1.14 percent of all Positive Cases in the country, the lowest level since March 2020. In the last 24 hours, a total of 17,97,559 tests were conducted across the country. India has already done over 49.84 crore (49,84,27,083) tests in total. While testing capacity has been increased across the country, the Weekly Positivity Rate of 1.95 percent has remained below 3 percent for the past 54 days. 1.96 percent is also the Daily Positivity rate. For the past 23 days, the daily positivity rate has been below 3 percent, and for the past 72 days, it has been below 5 percent.
