India reports 2503 new Covid-19 cases

In a notable step, India only reported 2,503 new cases in the last 24 hours, the lowest number in 680 days. With this, India's active caseload, which now stands at 36,168, is at its lowest level in 675 days. Active cases now account for 0.08 percent of all Positive Cases in the country. As a result, India's recovery rate is 98.72 percent. In the previous 24 hours, 4,377 patients have recovered, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 4,24,41,449 since the start of the pandemic. A total of 5,32,232 COVID-19 tests were performed in the last 24 hours. In total, India has conducted around 77.90 Cr (77,90,52,383) tests. The weekly and daily Positivity Rates have also been steadily declining. The country's Weekly Positivity Rate is currently 0.47 percent, and the Daily Positivity Rate is also 0.47 percent.
