India defeated Hong Kong by a score of 40 runs to reach the Super Fours. Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav both scored 50 runs while India was batting first, helping the team to set a target of 193 runs. In response, Hong Kong got off to a strong start as the young Indian pacers struggled. But as soon as the Indian spinners entered the picture, Hong Kong's pursuit slowed down. Despite their best efforts, Nizakat Khan and Babar Hayatt ultimately failed. Rohit Sharma was dismissed early when India had to bat first. KL Rahul was eventually struck out after managing only 36 off of 39 balls. Suryakumar Yadav ultimately took control from this point on and sent the Hong Kong spinners flying in all directions. After Kohli reached his first international fifty since February, he blasted to his fifty in a flash.
