IMD has issued cold wave alerts for numerous cities after a brief break in the severe cold waves that had been affecting Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, and other northern areas of India. The upcoming 48 hours are predicted to bring about severe cold waves in parts of western and northern India, including Delhi. The temperature is expected to plummet to -4 degrees Celsius starting the following week, on January 15, combined with heavy fog and chilly waves, according to the weather agency. However, these weather conditions are set to linger till January 20. Rajasthan may witness temperatures as low as zero degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature can hit zero degrees in some Central Delhi neighborhoods, including Safdarjung, according to meteorologist Navdeep Dahiya. According to the news agency, Aaj Tak, the minimum temperature in the suburbs of Delhi and Gurugram can drop as low as -1 degrees Celsius simultaneously. Major parts of Delhi can experience temperatures between 0 and 1 degrees Celsius.
