According to HDFC Securities, gold prices increased by INR 247 to 48,403 per 10g in the local market on Wednesday, owing to advances in the metal on international markets. The precious gold had finished at 48,156 per 10 g in the previous trade. Silver also increased by 825 points to 62,417 per kilogram, up from 61,592 per kilogram in the previous trade. Gold was up $1,827 per ounce on the international market, while silver was unchanged at $23.17 per ounce.
