Four patients with B.A. 4 variations and three cases with B.A. 5 variants of the Omicron sub-lineage of coronavirus were discovered in Maharashtra for the first time on Saturday, according to a state health department official. He stated that all of them had very minor symptoms and were treated at home. These Omicron sub-lineages were discovered in April in several regions of the world, including South Africa, but no instances had been reported in the country until today. Their samples were collected between the 4th and the 18th of May. Two had visited South Africa and Belgium, while the other three had visited Kerala and Karnataka. An official informed NDTV that the other two patients had no recent travel history.
