The Home Ministry announced on Thursday that, starting October 15, foreigners who want to visit India on chartered planes will be able to get tourist visas in part. Foreign tourists will also be permitted on air bubble flights from November 15, according to an official. Following the COVID-19 epidemic in March 2020, India suspended all forms of visas, including tourist visas. Commercial flights are yet to return on a regular basis. Commercial airlines from designated countries are allowed to travel to and from India on a restricted basis under the air bubble scheme. The Ministry stated that it has received requests to reinstate tourist visas from many state governments as well as tourism industry partners.
