According to persons familiar with the situation, Bloomberg News reported on Friday that Twitter had shut down two of its three India offices. According to the article, the social network business closed its headquarters in New Delhi and Mumbai but kept running its office in Bengaluru, a southern tech hotspot where engineers are the majority. According to Bloomberg, Twitter sacked more than 90% of its roughly 200 employees in India last year under the ownership of new owner Elon Musk. Musk had said in November that the loss of advertising was causing Twitter to see "a massive drop in revenue." According to online site the Information, a senior ad executive disclosed Twitter's fourth-quarter revenue at a staff meeting, which dropped by nearly 35% to $1.025 billion (about Rs. 8,484 crore). As part of broader cost-cutting initiatives at Twitter that resulted in the layoffs of nearly 3,700 employees in early November, the business announced at least a dozen additional job losses in the Dublin and Singapore offices last month.
