On Saturday, there had been earthquake shocks felt in Delhi, the NCR, and a few other northern states. A 5.4-magnitude earthquake that struck Nepal, 212 kilometers southeast of Joshimath in Uttarakhand, caused the shocks. According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake's origin was in Nepal at a depth of 10 km, with coordinates of 29.28 N and 81.20 E. Parts of Uttarakhand, including the cities of New Tehri, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Pauri, and others, experienced earthquakes in addition to the Delhi-NCR. Some areas of Uttar Pradesh were also affected. "The origin of the earthquake was 10 km deep and 3 km from Silanga town of Nepal. The affected countries are India, China and Nepal," Pithoragarh Disaster Management Officer BS Mahar informed PTI. There have been no reports of injuries or damage as a result of the earthquake in Delhi and the nearby territories.
