Delhi reports 10756 new Covid-19 cases

In the last 24 hours, Delhi saw 10,756 new Covid cases, down 12% from yesterday. In a single day, the national capital's positivity percentage decreased from 21% to 18%. With the addition of 10,756 additional cases, the total number of those infected in Delhi has risen to 17,71,028.

In the national capital, there are 61,954 active coronavirus cases, with 48,356 recovering at home. In the last 24 hours, Delhi has recorded 38 Covid-related deaths, bringing the total to 25,451. In Delhi, the recovery rate is 94.05 percent. In the 24-hour period, Delhi conducted 59,629 tests, 44,966 of which were RT-PCR tests. On Thursday, Health Minister Satyendar Jain stated that Delhi appears to have passed the peak of COVID-19's third wave, but cautioned that the city is still at risk. The Delhi government set a price cap of 300 for standard RT-PCR tests at private hospitals and laboratories on Thursday, lowering the cost by 40%. Previously, the test was 500 rupees.
