Delhi registers 9,197 new COVID-19 cases

On Sunday, Delhi registered 9,197 new COVID-19 cases, a 19% decrease from the previous day's total (11,486). The positivity rate dropped to 13.3 percent from 16.3 percent the day before. In the previous 24 hours, 35 people died in the national capital due to Covid. After reaching a record high of 28,867 daily cases on January 13, the number of daily cases in Delhi has been dropping. It only took ten days for the number of cases to fall below 10,000. On Friday, the capital reported 10,756 cases with an 18.04 percent positivity rate and 38 deaths. COVID-19 caused 45 deaths in Delhi on Saturday, the most since June 5, and 11,486 cases with a 16.36% positivity rate.
