Delhi Police issued a traffic advisory for August 15

In order to maintain smooth vehicular traffic in the national capital on Tuesday due to Independence Day celebrations on August 15, Delhi Police issued a traffic advice on Sunday. The Delhi Traffic Police additionally advised commuters to use alternative routes and avoid using specific roads during the times indicated below. The typical traffic flow outside Red Fort, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the country on August 15, would remain blocked to the general public from 4 am to 10 am, according to a Delhi Traffic Police advice. The notification also stated that only authorised cars would be allowed access. Eight roads will be closed to the general public on Tuesday, including Netaji Subhash Marg, Lothian Road, SP Mukherjee Marg, Chandni Chowk Road, Nishad Raj Marg, Esplanade Road and its link road to Netaji Subhash Marg, Ring Road from Rajghat to ISBT and Outer Ring Road from ISBT to IP Flyover. The advisory advised drivers to stay away from the C-Hexagon, India Gate, Copernicus Marg, Mandi House, Sikandra Road, W Point, A Point Tilak Marg, Mathura Road, BSZ Marg, Netaji Subhash Marg, J L Nehru Marg, Ring Road between Nizamuddin Khatta and ISBT Kashmere Gate, and Outer Ring Road from Nizamuddin Khatta to ISBT Kashmere Gate via Salimgarh bypass.
