Since February 10, when 1,104 infections were registered, this was the highest number of cases reported in Delhi. The positivity rate is 5.7 percent. According to data from the Delhi Health Department, after a gradual decline in Covid cases, the city has seen a surge in new infections, with the positivity rate nearly tripling between April 11 and 18. Despite an increase in Covid cases in Delhi, hospitalization has been minimal, accounting for fewer than 3% of all ongoing cases, according to government data. In light of the mounting cases, the wearing of masks in public places was made mandatory in Delhi earlier today.
