DDMA issues an order to allow cinema halls, theatres and multiplexes to open

The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) issued an order on Saturday, 24 July, allowing cinema halls, theatres, and multiplexes to open with a 50% seating capacity, while the Delhi Metro can now operate at 100% capacity from Monday, 26 July. Intra-state bus service has also been approved, with a capacity of 100 percent. Passengers should enter the bus by the back entrance and exit through the front door. Passengers are not permitted to stand.

The number of persons allowed to attend weddings and funerals has been increased from 50 to 100. Spas have been allowed to open, but only under tight COVID guidelines. Auditoriums and assembly halls can also be opened, but only to a capacity of 50%. The relaxations came after the number of daily cases and the positivity rate in the national capital are now dropping. Delhi recorded 58 new cases on Friday, July 23, with a positivity rate of 0.09 percent.
