In the early hours of Monday, a 37-year-old lady was killed after a wall abutting her house collapsed on her, purportedly due to heavy rain brought by cyclone Gulab at Appalanarasamma Colony under the Pendurthi police station boundaries. The woman has been identified as Bhavana, according to Pendurthi SI Ashok Kumar. She was living in an asbestos hut beside a hillside with her husband, who was suffering from a paralytic stroke. She moved inside their neighbor's pucca house on Sunday, afraid for her and her husband's safety. She had arrived at her residence around 5 a.m., and as she was entering the washroom, the wall collapsed on her, killing her instantly. After learning of the occurrence, District Collector A.
