The BCCI announced a revised schedule for the home series against Sri Lanka, which will begin on February 25, ensuring that the Twenty20 series will take place before the Test series.

The two-Test series was originally scheduled ahead of the T20 matches. "Sri Lanka will first play the T20I series comprising three matches followed by a two-match Test series, which will be a part of the ICC World Test Championship, 2021-23," the BCCI stated in a statement. The T20s against the Lankan team would take place before the Test matches in Mohali and Bengaluru, as reported by the media previously, and the cricket board has now confirmed it.
