Air India said on Friday that three flights will be operated between India and Ukraine next week. It tweeted that these flights will take place on February 22, 24, and 26. Boryspil International Airport would be served by the flights. The airline said it was "in the process of increasing the number [of flights]" in response to demands for more flights on the microblogging site. Since its advice advising Indian citizens to leave the country owing to escalating tensions between Ukraine and Russia, the Indian Embassy in Kyiv has been inundated with complaints regarding non-availability of flights. The government lifted the limit on the number of flights allowed between the two nations on Thursday, allowing airlines to add more flights to meet the surge in demand for travel back to India.
